Primary School Students Get Healthy

Student First Aid - Primary School Students Get Healthy

Students from Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School in Tarro, NSW, are looking forward to making healthier choices after visiting Happy Healthy Harold.

Happy Healthy Harold is the popular mascot of Life Education Centres, which deliver age-appropriate programs to Australian children and young people, their families and communities in mobile classrooms around Australia.

The Happy Healthy Harold primary school programs focus on the most common behavioural risk factors including physical inactivity, poor nutrition, smoking and the harmful use of alcohol.

A wide range of health topics is presented in fun and interactive ways, getting children involved in the program rather than just being fed information.

Students spend time developing strategies and practicing the skills required to avoid the harms associated with unhealthy lifestyle choices.
